EASY RIDERS — RIDE 7

An enjoyable AAA ride (All Ages and Abilities).

updated 09/15/2022

Meeting Details: MEET AT  @ 10:00 am in the parking lot of the Vancouver Maritime Museum.

From there we will follow the seawall route around Vanier Park, along the S side of False Creek to Science World; along the N side of False Creek to Lost Lagoon.; In Stanley Park there are two options - the seawall route (scenic and flat) and the road route (still separated as a bike lane I believe, which is a steeper climb). I am opting for the scenic route this year. If anyone wants to do the road route once — or twice — we can arrange to meet at Second Beach.  From Second Beach we will continue to Burrard Bridge and end our ride with a stop at Kits Beach Coffee 1945 Cornwall  for sustenance/ refreshment.

Route: Vancouver Maritime Museum-S side False Creek-Science World- Burrard Seawall-Stanley Park-N side False Creek-Second Beach-Kist Beach Coffee

This route is gentle (Stanley Park Road Route excepted) and scenic in the extreme . The circuit from and back to Kits Point is about 25km  and will take 90 minutes to 2 hours, depending on stops to admire views

Partners and e-bikes are welcome

Any emeriti (and/ or partners) interested in joining this ride please contact group convenor Graeme Wynn (wynn@geog.ubc.ca) before Friday, Sept. 9 who will provide further details.
