SIG: Okanagan Bridge Group
October 17, 2025, 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm
The UBCO bridge group meets at the UBC Innovation Centre in the downtown library for afternoons of fun and cognitive challenge. Whether playing or advising, thinking about bidding conventions and strategies for playing hands kept us focused and involved, as did the analysis of unusual hands after they were played. After 2 hours of concentration, we head to a nearby café to catch up over treats, tea and coffee.
Play dates for the remainder of 2025 will be Fridays at 1:00 pm on the following dates: Oct 17, Nov 7, Nov 21, Dec 5, and Dec 19. All games will be at the Innovation Centre. The conventions in Audrey Grant’s “Bridge at a Glance” will be used until our numbers are large enough for partnerships to be stabilized. Thereafter, partners can develop their own agreements.
