Persons Day Commemoration

Hosted by The University Women's Club of Vancouver at Hycroft

Do you know that  a woman was not always considered a person?  The Famous Five changed the status of women when they challenged Canada’s highest Court of Appeal. Persons Day commemorates the day in 1929 when women were included in the definition of persons.  It was only 96 years ago.

Please bring family, friends and especially men as allies to hear Keynote Speaker, The Honourable Manitoba Senator Marilou McPhedran, who continues to work tirelessly for human rights.
