On Monday, November 4th, 2024, Drs. Kurt Hoskin and Emmanuelle Massie present Healthy Hearts: Risks & Prevention.
Presentation overview:
In Canada, heart disease is the second leading cause of death after cancer and a leading cause of hospitalization. Approximately, 1 in 12 Canadian adults live with diagnosed heart disease. Early detection and management of medical conditions can help reduce the health risks. Learn from local medical experts about cardiovascular risk factors and the benefits of exercising and rehabilitation.
Presenters:
Dr. Kurt Hoskin and Dr. Emmanuelle Massie are both Kelowna-based cardiologists. Dr. Hoskin, a Southern Medical Program alumnus, is a Clinical Instructor with UBC’s Division of Cardiology and completed his residency in internal medicine and cardiology at UBC. Dr. Massie earned her medical degree and residency in internal medicine and cardiology at the University of Montreal, followed by fellowships in echocardiography at McGill University and heart failure in Geneva, Switzerland.
