Picnic at Kaloya Park
The next outing of the Okanagan Outdoor Activities Group will be a picnic and water activities at Kaloya Park (south end of Kalamalka Lake), with the picnic shelter reserved from 12- 2 pm on July 16th. Please bring your food and drink. No alcohol please because we do not have a liquor permit.
The park is nice for swimming, bird-watching or a short stroll around the perimeter. If you would like to do some paddling, you can bring your own kayak, canoe, or SUP. Or you can rent from Oyama General in Oyama and paddle through the canal from Wood Lake to Kal Lake. No dogs are allowed in the park. Access is via Trask Road on the Oyama isthmus.
Contact Melanie Jones at melanie.jones@ubc.ca if you have any questions.
