SIG: Okanagan Outdoor Activities Group

Walk along the High Rim Trail
On September 16, join us for a walk along the High Rim Trail, starting at Beaver Lake Road and ending at Wrinkley Face Provincial Park. We will be accompanied by Dr. Dan Durall, who will point out some interesting mushrooms along the way, and will provide some tips about how to identify mushrooms generally. Note that this is not an edible mushroom foraging trip.
We will go slowly to look for mushrooms, but if we get as far as Wrinkly Face, the trip is 5 km return. The view from the meadows in the Park is very nice. There are a few steep sections – 240 m elevation change.
Meeting time and location
For carpooling: depart 8:30 from the Save-On-Foods parking lot on Highway 97 and Beaver Lake Road. We’ll be parked near the liquor store.
Or meet at 9:00 am at the High Rim Trail trailhead on Beaver Lake Road.
