Many of the 2026-2027 General Meetings will take place in the Peña Room (301) on level 3 of the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre (1961 East Mall, Vancouver, BC Canada V6T 1Z1). Below is a Photowalk of how to find the space from the East and West entrance of the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre.
The closest parkade to the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre is UBC North Parkade or Rose Garden Parkade.
Finding the Peña Room from the East Entrance of the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre
Please scroll down for directions from the west entrance.
This is the east entrance of the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre.
Once you have entered the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre, you will see the entrance foyer directly in front of you.
Continue up the stairs to level 2.
or take the elevator up on your left up to level 3.
If you have taken the elevator to level 3.
Continue through the lobby past the information desk on your right to the Peña room.
If you have walked up the main foyer stairs to level 2 of the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre,
walk through the lobby to the end of the hall.
Take the stairs on your right and head up to the Peña room.
Finding the Peña Room from the West Entrance of the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre
This is the west entrance of the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre. This would be your entrance if you have parked at the Rose Garden Parkade and do not require the use of the elevator.
Please note there are 10 steps up to this entrance and no ramp. If you would like to use the elevator to access the Peña Room, please use the east entrance.
Once you enter the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre from the west side,
immediately go up the staircase on your left and the Peña Room will be at the top of the stairs.
