A New Strategic Plan
Our previous strategic plan helped guide the Emeritus College through an important period of growth and change. With most of its action items now completed or well underway, we have taken the opportunity to look ahead and consider what we want the College to achieve over the next five years.
The UBC Emeritus College's Strategic Plan 2026-2030 was developed collaboratively in spring and summer 2025 under the leadership of the College Principal and Executive members, together with staff and committee chairs.
It is a five-year strategic framework with a rolling implementation plan.
The process began with a review of accomplishments and outstanding items from the previous strategic plan to assess progress and identify areas requiring renewed focus. Several initiatives from the earlier plan have since become part of the College’s ongoing operations, while others were completed or concluded after review and consultation.
Alongside the implementation of this strategic plan, the College continues to advance its regular programs, events, and operations to sustain engagement, learning and community among members.
