The Faculty Women's Club would like to invite the professors emerti attend a lecture from Jonathan Berkowitz, PhD, The Word Guy, "North by Northwest", CBC Radio One. Lecturer, Sauder School Of Business
Dr. Berkowitz loves sharing his passion for statistics, words, puzzles, and ideas. For the past seven years, he has appeared as the Word Guy (and for one year as the Puzzling Professor) on CBC Radio One’s weekend morning program, “North by Northwest”, educating and entertaining about all aspects of the English language.
Professionally, Jonathan is a consulting statistician and full-time lecturer at UBC’s Sauder School of Business. He has been involved in a wide range of collaborative and interdisciplinary research. He has co-authored two Canadian editions of a statistics textbook and co-written many academic publications.
Jonathan has written two books about words: The Whirl of Words: Puzzling Past and Present (www.thewhirlofwords.com) in 2021, and Tales From the Word Guy: What Your English Teacher Never Taught You (www.talesfromthewordguy.com) in 2022.
